About

Soundcrawl is a sound art and new media organization presenting works by best and brightest new media artists and composers in a unique "opt in" gallery format. Since 2009 we've received 450+ works by 90 composers in 43 countries on 6 continents, and presented 72 to audiences in Nashville, TN.

Soundcrawl does not happen without the tireless efforts of these fantastic people; who bust their chops for this event pro bono. If you like the quality of our work.. you should hire them! No really, contact us.

Josh Hildebrandt- Associate Director: Josh is a born arts administrator and currently works for Youth Empowerment through the Arts in Murphreesboro. Previously he's spent time with Masterworks, The Brevard Music Center, and the Chattanooga Symphony. A remarkably poised presenter and unusually "dapper" in a bowtie and seer-sucker, Josh definitely ups the Southern Gentleman quotient of Soundcrawl.

Laura Nunnery Love- Press Coordinator: Laura holds a BA in Journalism from Union University, and is hootsuite certified. Have you noticed how our social media lights up the internet? That's Laura's doing. If you ever read a word about us on the internet.. you can thank Laura.

Joy Jenkins Baker - Artist Liason; No one knows the inner workings of Soundcrawl better than Joy. She's been onboard since the first edition of the festival in 2009 and brings a winning combination of musical knowledge, technological skill and social graces to ensure our artists and their travel parties are well cared for.

Alex Crain - Broadcast Audio Engineer. Alex holds a degree in audio engineering from Greenville college and was a part of the CMC program in Brentwood where he won student Grammys for both live and studio audio. He's the reason we're streaming this year's festival in binaural stereo.

Jacqueline "Sheldon" Hawthorne- Marketing Intern: a nineteen year old polymath from Florida, Sheldon has already studied film at an arts high school in California, and came to Nashville to study Songwriting at Belmont. Insatiably curious and an incredibly quick study; Sheldon is owning our handbills, posters and program ads.

Jessica Henderson, Esq. - Intellectual Property Attorney: Jessica holds a law degree from UNC, and relocated to Nashville to work in entertainment industry. As all good lawyers go; she's incredibly smart, driven, and personable and we're grateful to have her help drafting our agreements.

Renee Miller - Hospitality Coordinator: This is Renee's second year helping Soundcrawl offer a good experience to its out-of-town guests. Renee brings a gift of hospitality, professional experience and fantastic shoes to the role, and is responsible for this year's field trips and swag bags.

Micah Redding - Venue Director: Micah is rock and roll singer, a philosopher, and a pretty dang good web developer...for this year's festival he's overseeing the technological workings of Auxiliary 2.

Kyle Baker - Director/Co-Founder: Kyle is a composer and impresario known for transformative artistic experiences that use technology.
